Who we are
GLP Games (glpgames.com) is a free collection of learning games for gestalt language processors, created by Nicholas Putz as a PureDigital project.
Information we collect
The games do not ask for, and do not collect, personal information from children or adults. There are no forms, chat, or user uploads anywhere on the site.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which games are used, so we know what to build next. It collects:
- Pages visited and time spent on them
- Device type, browser, and screen size
- Approximate location (country or city), estimated from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
- How you arrived at the site (for example a search engine or a shared link)
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to do this. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization, so this data is not used for advertising or linked to Google accounts. You can opt out entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Information stored on your device
Word World City saves your child's best progress for each place, and the sound and phrase-mode settings, in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Spoken words
The games speak words aloud using your browser's built-in text-to-speech. On some browsers (for example, Chrome using a "Google" voice), the browser maker may process the text being spoken — only the game word or phrase, such as "FIRE TRUCK" — on its own servers.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics — visit statistics, as described above.
- Google Fonts — the site's fonts load from Google's servers, which receive your IP address as part of delivering the files.
- Web hosting — our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
Links to other websites (such as nicholasputz.com) are governed by those sites' own privacy policies.
Children's privacy
GLP Games is designed for young children, so it is built to work without collecting any personal information from them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
